ACP Services: Recent Projects
Recent ACP Projects
HiSoftware and its Accessibility Consulting Practice (ACP) are the industry leaders
in IT accessibility. Customers seek us out for some of the most unusual and difficult
accessibility projects. This page highlights some of our recent work and accomplishments.
Information Technology Industry
Consortium (ITI)
HiSoftware’s ACP team finalized work with the Information Technology Industry
Consortium (ITI) to develop an XML specification for the Voluntary Product Accessibility
Template (VPAT). This specification will be used by the Federal government and the
IT industry for upcoming VPATs—and is expected to serve as a model for supplier
declarations of conformance (SDOCs) worldwide.
National Aeronautics
and Space Administration
HiSoftware’s ACP team won a competitive contract award from the National Aeronautics
and Space Administration for review of grantee programs and facilities under Section
504 of the Rehabilitation Act. The agency identified the ACP team as the “clear
winner” based on its depth of subject matter expertise in all areas of accessibility
(including architectural accessibility).
Training programs for ARIA development techniques
and screen reader testing strategies
HiSoftware’s ACP team provides live training on ARIA development techniques
and screen reader testing strategies to one of the nation’s premier providers
of online reference data. Students participating in the course noted its high value
and the unusual depth of expertise of the trainers in these highly specialized areas
of accessibility.
