OVERVIEW

This hands-on course covers the process-based functionality of HiSoftware’s Compliance Sheriff hosted solution for Web Governance . Students completing this 1 day course will learn to use the software to develop and monitor their organizational policies for Web Governance. After successful completion of training, a student will be able to use Compliance Sheriff to validate a Web site and applications content against standards-based and custom organizational policies for accessibility and privacy compliance. Students will come away with the ability to offer solutions for making those Web sites accessible and assure that sites are in compliance with organizational privacy policies.

This course is designed to train individuals to make the most effective use of this versatile and effective solution for achieving and maintaining Web site compliance with:

  • Section 508

  • W3C WCAG 1.0 Priority 1-3 accessibility guidelines

  • Privacy / Section 208

  • Custom organizational guidelines

Compliance Sheriff is currently offered as a hosted test management system with a Web-based interface for easy management from an internet browser on many of today’s operating systems. Comprehensive Dashboard Reporting features allow content managers and executives to review site status with multiple reporting levels that allow developers to drill down into pass/fail details for remediation. The result is a complete and concise report on the total accessibility, quality and policy compliance of a site or pages of a site tested, that can be shared with the various groups responsible for Web Governance.
