WebABLE to Utilize HiSoftware Web Site Accessibility Monitoring Technologies as Part of Strategic Alliance

Concord, New Hampshire – July 17, 2001 – Hiawatha Island Software Company, Inc. (HiSoftware) and WebABLE, Inc., today announced a strategic alliance that will accelerate the expansion of WebABLE’s Section 508/W3C Web site accessibility compliance monitoring services.

Under the agreement, WebABLE will utilize HiSoftware’s accessibility verification and reporting technology as part of a new monitoring service that will help government agencies and corporations ensure that their Web sites are accessible to people with disabilities. Due to the recently-enacted Rehabilitation Act Amendments legislation, interactive accessible technology and Web accessibility for people with disabilities is on the minds of CIOs at many corporations, organizations, and government agencies.
