U.S. Geological Survey-Awards Contract for Enterprise deployment of HiSoftware Accessibility and Content Quality Management Solutions

AccVerify DS2, AccRepair DS2 and AccMonitor to be deployed across USGS for enterprise-wide verification, repair and monitoring of Web Based content.

Concord, NH August 22, 2003 – HiSoftware Company announced today that the U.S. Geological Survey (“USGS”)-has awarded a purchase agreement to HiSoftware Company for enterprise-wide deployment of its “Acc” product line. Through this agreement, both HiSoftware Company’s desktop and back-end server side software solutions will be utilized for evaluation, remediation and ongoing monitoring of USGS Web sites and Web based applications for conformance to Section 508 Accessibility Standards, and organizational content quality standards.

 
In addition to “out-of-the-box” testing and reporting for Accessibility, Privacy, Metadata and Usability standards, these solutions allow an organization’s experts and/or policy managers to define content policies and then provides a solution to validate compliance with these policies. The final result is a complete and concise report on the total accessibility, quality and policy compliance status of content that has been tested. USGS will also be using HiSoftware solutions to create and manage captioning for the audio portions of their multi-media Web site presentations.
