HiSoftware’s
Enterprise Metadata Solutions, Release
6.0, provide advanced Content Quality
Management
Release 6.0 enhances
corporate Search facilities and document
policy management.
Concord, NH December
11, 2002 – HiSoftware, Inc., a leading
provider of Web content accessibility
and usability solutions, announced today
release 6.0 of its Enterprise Metadata
solutions, TagGen® Office and Metadata
Server, metadata management solutions
that enable organizations to categorize
and index digital content, resulting in
better/faster search and retrieval of
information via a corporate Intranet or
the Internet. Metadata, which adds the
same type of intelligent tagging to
documents that card catalogs supply
about books, is the key to organizing
and leveraging corporate knowledge.
These solutions
allow users to create a portal-style
index of documents that can be created,
searched and modified on the fly.
Metadata Server and TagGen Office
represent an affordable and scalable
solution for management of search and
policy verification initiatives across
enterprise organizations. Metadata
Server 6.0 now includes Hi-Search, the
first "Fielded only" search services
available on the market. Hi-Search
provides an open database architecture
that allows users of HiSoftware’s
AccMonitor Server to filter their
Hi-Search queries to obtain accessible
content only. The new release of TagGen
Office also introduces support for
HiSoftware’s Floating License Server
enterprise management solution, allowing
for easy licensing.
“In a large
organization, the shear volume of
documents makes finding what you want
when you want it a daunting task,” said
Robert B.
Yonaitis, HiSoftware President and CEO.
“HiSoftware’s metadata solutions make it
easy for organizations to develop,
implement and verify compliance with a
consistent, customizable search policy
that allows users to quickly and
accurately find the information they
need using fielded searching.”
HiSoftware’s enterprise metadata
solutions assist organizations in
achieving and maintaining Web sites in
compliance with organizational standards
for searchability and custom metadata
policies. These solutions, available as
client and automated server-based
applications, help organizations develop
long-term strategies to achieve Web
content searchability and quality. They
allow multiple users to work
collaboratively on Web site content
policy implementation and
testing-resulting in reductions in time
and resources.
