Internal Revenue Service Extends Licensing Agreement to Six Years for HiSoftware Web Management Solutions

Concord, NH August 9, 2005 – HiSoftware Company announced today that the Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) has extended its licensing agreement for HiSoftware Company content quality and accessibility solutions. This extends a licensing agreement that the IRS originally entered into in July of 2002 through the end of the July of 2008. Through this agreement, HiSoftware Company’s AccMonitor Compliance Server will be utilized for evaluation and ongoing monitoring of IRS intranet web sites and Web applications for conformance to both statutory and organizational accessibility and content quality standards.

The Internal Revenue Service previously purchased an enterprise license of AccMonitor Compliance Server for use by its webmasters, application developers, and Section 508 compliance experts. The AccMonitor Compliance Server 2005 product line solutions manage and maintain Web site and Web application content quality from initial development through application deployment. In addition to “out-of-the-box” testing and reporting for Accessibility, Privacy, Metadata, Site Structure and Usability standards, HiSoftware solutions allow an organization’s experts and/or policy managers to define content policies and then provides a solution to validate compliance with these policies. HiSoftware’s end-to-end software solutions enable customers to proactively manage online privacy. HiSoftware solutions allow users to monitor Web sites for data collection, security and sharing practices, opt-in and opt-out choices, broken links, missing privacy policies, third party linking, P3P and the use of tracking technologies. The final result is a complete and concise report on the total accessibility, quality and policy compliance status of content that has been tested.

Internal Revenue Service Web application developers are also licensed to utilize HiSoftware’s user-driven interactive desktop solutions, AccVerify DS2 2005 and AccRepair DS2 2005 to test and remediate their projects for compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards, Section 208 privacy standards, and other content quality standards. HiSoftware’s accessibility testing solutions test for over 187 comprehensive accessibility checks and for the level of compliance recommended by the U.S Government's Section 508 legislation.

The Internal Revenue Service joins a growing list of Federal government agencies turning to HiSoftware Company for content quality and accessibility compliance solutions, including the U.S. Army Materiel Command, US Geological Survey and Department of Defense. HiSoftware Company also works with Fortune 1000 corporations including Microsoft Corporation, Mercury Interactive, and Fidelity Investments, State and local government agencies and educational institutions: http://www.hisoftware.com/access/scustomers.html
