licenses to ease IT Rollout and
deployment Costs for enterprise
accessibility solutions. Empower

Concord, NH — September 19,
2002-HiSoftware, Inc. today announced
the introduction of a floating network
license program for its award winning
Accessibility solution product line. The
new licensing program will further
enable enterprise deployment of
HiSoftware’s solutions for large
organizations with complex IT
infrastructures. The program is designed
to decrease the cost of ownership for
the software and to enable the long-term
goal for accessibility testing within
each step of the Web and application
development life cycle.
The
Floating network license will allow an
organization to set a limit on the
number of users who can access and use a
program at the same time. If additional
users want access, they must wait until
others complete their use of the
program. Thus, a set of 1000 floating
licenses for AccVerify allows any number
of users to access the program, provided
only 1000 people use it at any one time.
If an 1001st user tries to access the
program, the licensing program tells the
user there are no licenses currently
available and to try again later. The
1000 floating licenses are like 1000
books in a library: any number of people
can read them, but only 1000 people can
check them out at a time.
The
Licensing System has a Server Component,
Web Based Component and Requires a
License Key file that holds all
licensing server communication
information for the Desktop to enable
access to the License pool. The new
Floating License System will be
available as of October 2nd, 2002.
