Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation selects HiSoftware Company's Content Quality and Accessibility Solutions

Concord, NH November 14, 2003 – HiSoftware Company, the leader in enterprise Web Accessibility and Content Quality solutions, announced today that the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) has selected HiSoftware’s Web Quality and Accessibility “Acc” product line. Through this agreement, HiSoftware Company’s desktop software solutions will be utilized for evaluation, remediation and monitoring of FDIC Web sites and Web based applications for conformance to Section 508 Accessibility Standards, and organizational content quality standards.

In addition to “out-of-the-box” testing and reporting for Accessibility, Privacy (Section 208), Metadata and Usability standards, these solutions allow an organization’s experts and/or policy managers to define content policies and to validate compliance with these policies. AccVerify and AccRepair also provide Webmasters and Content Managers with the necessary tools to test and remediate existing content and content in development for conformance. FDIC Webmasters will be using HiSoftware solutions to create and manage sites that are accessible and Section 508 compliant.

HiSoftware’s “Acc” product line includes a combination of user-driven interactive desktop solutions that allow developers to test their content for conformance with standards, and server-side applications that provide managers with automated and remote testing. A scalable architecture provides a faster deployment time and lower cost of ownership for the solution set. Used together these solutions enable developers, testers and project teams to verify Web site accessibility in compliance with Section 508, as well as Custom corporate-content quality standards. The solutions provide Webmasters with a simple, cost-effective way to manage accessibility and content quality testing within their development environments, at the same time providing a centralized reporting system and audit trail for Web content compliance status.

More information about these applications is available from the HiSoftware Web site: http://www.hisoftware.com/access/index.html

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation joins a growing list of Federal Agencies turning to HiSoftware Company for Enterprise wide Content Quality solutions, including but not limited to US Department of Transportation, US Geological Survey, the Internal Revenue Service, Center for Disease Control, and many others. HiSoftware Company has enterprise software license agreements with both Federal and State Government agencies and works with several Fortune 1000 corporations including Microsoft Corporation, Mercury Interactive, and Fidelity Investments: http://www.hisoftware.com/access/scustomers.html
