Department of Defense (DoD) Enterprise
Software Agreement (ESA) with DLT
Solutions for HiSoftware, Inc. Web

Department of
Defense agencies to have easy
procurement options for Web site
accessibility software
CONCORD, NH – August 12, 2004 –
HiSoftware, Inc. announced today that
its Web accessibility and content
quality products will be available
through FY 2007 to Department of
Defense agencies through a Blanket
Purchase Agreement with the Department
of the Navy as part of the Department
of Defense Enterprise Software
Initiative. The Enterprise Software
Initiative is a joint DOD project to
develop and implement a DOD enterprise
process to identify, acquire,
distribute, and manage enterprise
software. This Blanket Purchase
Agreement was originally issued for a
three year term in August of 2001 to
DLT Solutions, a GSA schedule holder
for HiSoftware’s full product line.
These solutions help organizations
develop long-term strategies to
achieve Web content accessibility,
enhance usability, and comply with
U.S. and international accessibility
standards.
HiSoftware’s “Acc” product line
includes a combination of user-driven
interactive desktop solutions that
allow developers to test their content
for conformance with standards, and
server-side applications that provide
managers with automated and remote
testing. A scalable architecture
provides a faster deployment time and
lower cost of ownership for the
solution set. Used together these
solutions enable developers, testers
and project teams to verify Web site
accessibility in compliance with
Section 508, as well as Custom
corporate-content quality standards.
The solutions provide Webmasters with
a simple, cost-effective way to manage
accessibility and content quality
testing within their development
environments, at the same time
providing a centralized reporting
system and audit trail for Web content
compliance status.
