David C. Arnold Joins HiSoftware, Inc.’s Board of Directors - Entrepreneurial Founder of Henniker River Group and Softdesk, Inc. Contributes Business-Building Expertise to New Hampshire Internet Software Developer

Concord, New Hampshire – July 24, 2000 – HiSoftware, Inc., a leading developer of Knowledge Management, Web Site Management, and eBusiness Intelligence solutions, today announced the appointment of David C. Arnold to its Board of Directors. Mr. Arnold is a founding partner of the Henniker River Group (Concord, New Hampshire), a business development firm specializing in high tech start-up companies.

“Mr. Arnold has an excellent track record of founding and developing highly successful companies, as well as fostering the growth and acquisition of other companies for which he has served as a Board Member,” said Robert B. Yonaitis, founder and CEO of HiSoftware. “We are very pleased to have him join our Board.”

“HiSoftware is a start-up with huge growth potential,” said Mr. Arnold. “They are developing fundamental productivity solutions for virtually anyone using the Internet or an Intranet – consumers, web site owners, portal companies, government and corporate enterprises. Their technology has been cited in the media as ‘core’ technology. Industry giants such as Microsoft have singled out HiSoftware in their promotions. The staff’s enthusiasm is infectious – this is one company that is having no trouble attracting technical talent, even in the competitive high tech labor market.”

Prior to founding the Henniker River Group in 1998, Mr. Arnold founded Softdesk, Inc. which became one of New Hampshire’s largest publicly-traded software companies before its 1997 acquisition by Autodesk (NASDAQ: ADSK), one of the world’s largest software companies. From March 1997 until January 1998 Mr. Arnold served as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Autodesk’s AEC Market Group. Mr. Arnold has also served on the Boards of several highly successful start-ups, including RealWorld Corporation (Manchester, New Hampshire), which was acquired by Great Plains (NASDAQ: GPSI) in January 2000, and 2Order.com (Atlanta, Georgia), which was acquired by Primus (NASDAQ: PKSI) in January 2000. Mr. Arnold is a licensed professional engineer in the state of New Hampshire. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from New England College and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.
