Dax Data Partners with
HiSoftware
CAPE TOWN -- April
17, 2001 -- Enterprise software and
Web-enablement specialist,
Dax Data, has complemented its
portfolio of e-Commerce enabling
products by securing the rights to
distribute advanced search and web
site management solutions from
Hiawatha Island Software (HiSoftware).
Jeremy Matthews, MD of Dax Data,
HiSoftware products are a natural fit
with the Internet imaging solutions of
MGI and the server, authoring and
playback software of the recently
constituted Allaire-Macromedia
company. "The secret to successful
e-commerce is in getting customers to
a site, showing them product(s),
closing the sale and ensuring repeat
business by offering excellent
turn-around and service.
"Aside from Allaire business platform,
we now have two other Web technologies
that add value to the process of
web-enabling the enterprise. This
further enhances our ability, and that
of our partners, to rapidly and
cost-effectively assist customers in
building their businesses on the Web,"
he adds.
Dana Louise Simberkoff, VP of Business
Development at HiSoftware, says the
partnership brings HiSoftware’s search
and web site management solutions to
information managers in South Africa.
"It provides a cost-effective and
simplified procurement process for our
search and web site management
solutions in the region."
"The relationship with Dax Data is an
important step for HiSoftware as we
expand our reach to information
managers around the world. It offers
us access to a distribution system
that is well established and provides
expanded sales opportunities through a
network of value-added resellers," she
adds.
Matthews believes the growth in
Internet-related programming has led
directly to a need for a coherent set
of web site management solutions.
"Tools such as the TagGen,
Hi-Visibility, Hi-Promotion and
Hi-Verify significantly expands our
product offering to business partners
and through them, to web authors and
site managers," he says.
