California State University - Channel Islands Selects HiSoftware's Solutions to Ensure Site Quality and Accessibility for College Web Sites

CONCORD, NH – January 30, 2004 -- HiSoftware, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise Web Accessibility and Content Quality solutions, today announced that California State University - Channel Islands will be implementing a campus wide license of HiSoftware’s desktop and automated server solutions. AccMonitor and AccVerify/AccRepair will be used to support CSU Channel Islands efforts to achieve and maintain University Web Sites and Web based applications that are accessible to users of assistive technologies.

Under the terms of the agreement, HiSoftware Company will provide its AccMonitor Server Enterprise software to California State University Channel Islands, as well as a campus wide license of AccVerify/AccRepair for use on any campus PCs. HiSoftware’s product line includes a combination of user-driven interactive desktop solutions that allow developers to test their content for conformance with standards, and server side remote applications that allow for automated and remote testing. This scalable architecture provides a faster deployment time and lower cost of ownership for the solution set. Implementation of HiSoftware’s Solution set will allow for:

  • Automated testing and monitoring of entire sites for compliance with Federal, State and International accessibility standards

  • The creation of course-based reports

  • Feedback for instructors in a reporting format that is clear and easy to understand

  • Training of developers to verify and repair their own sites

  • Creation of an audit trail for their accessibility program

  • Implementation of a standard format for feedback on their Web sites

California State University Channel Islands joins a growing list of Schools and Universities turning to HiSoftware Company for Section 508 compliance solutions, including but not limited to University of Maine, University of Wisconsin, University of Arizona, Kansas State University, University of Massachusetts, UCLA, University of Calgary, and University of North Texas.
