New Integrations deliver on promise of pervasive accessibility

Concord, NH —July 12, 2002 - HiSoftware, Inc. today announced that is has tightened the integration between its AccMonitor Server and two of the most widely used .NET Enterprise Servers: Microsoft Content Management Server... & SharePoint® Portal Server.... The New Integration allows for integrated access for verification of accessibility for SharePoint Workspaces and Microsoft Content Management Server Channels. The integration comes via the HiSoftware AccMonitor 4.75 API with Direct Links to the SharePoint Portal Server and via a "New" integration pack for Microsoft Content Management Server. The pack is available for free to all AccMonitor Users and the Integration With SharePoint Portal Server is integrated into the AccMonitor Console.

Running as a Windows® service, AccMonitor is an automated accessibility testing solution for Web sites or for use in conjunction with Intranet Servers or File Servers. Using a crawler, AccMonitor tests sites for compliance with Section 508 and W3C accessibility standards. AccMonitor spiders, or crawls over, entire Web sites and reports on their accessibility status. AccMonitor particularly benefits organizations that need to monitor multiple servers that host information via the World Wide Web. AccMonitor is a server solution that is designed to run with no user interaction once configured. AccMonitor can be scheduled to crawl Web sites daily, weekly, or monthly. It also allows users to log-on for on demand reports on the accessibility status of their Web pages.

AccMonitor's Integration for Microsoft® SharePoint® Portal Server verifies accessibility compliance for Web files in Microsoft® SharePoint® workspaces. HiSoftware tracking technology allows AccMonitor ensure compliance with Section 508 and W3C® accessibility standards/Guidelines. AccMonitor generates accessibility reports that can be customized and distributed via SQL Queries, HTML or XML. Running as a Windows® service, AccMonitor can be scheduled to monitor Microsoft® SharePoint® workspaces automatically at regular user defined intervals.
